NECO SSCE Results, June/July 2022 Out – See How Candidates Performed

The National Examination Council (NECO) has announced the release of the 2022 SSCE results. The NECO Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Dantali Wushishi, announced the results on Thursday September 29th, 2022 at the NECO Headquarters in Minna, Niger State.

Giving a break down of the performance by candidates, the Registrar, stated that the total number of candidates who actually sat for the examination was 1,198,412 out of  the 1,209,703 that actually registered for the examination. The number of candidates who obtained a Credit and above in the English language is 889,188 representing 74.89% while the number of candidates who obtained a Credit and above in Mathematics is 929,140 representing 78.23%.

A further breakdown, shows that a total of  727,864 candidates representing 60.74%obtained up to  five credits and above in both English Language and Mathematics .

It was also disclosed that a total of 29 supervisors have been blacklisted by NECO for their alleged involvement in various malpractice offences. He also said four schools were recommended for de-recognition for two years over consistent malpractices. Meanwhile, Wushishi revealed that the council recorded a reduction in malpractice in the 2022 internal senior school certificate examinations when compared to previous years.
